Where are the CHaRM centers located?

CHaRM Atlanta is located at 110 Hill Street SE, Atlanta, GA 30315. For directions, click here.
CHaRM DeKalb is located at 1225 Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30032. For directions, click here

What are the CHaRM locations' hours of operation?

CHaRM Atlanta (Hill Street) is open by appointment only every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-2pm and Saturday from 8am-2pm.
CHaRM DeKalb (Columbia Drive) is open by appointment only every Wednesday and Friday from 9am-2pm. 
We are closed July 3-6, Nov 29-30, Dec 24-27 and Jan 1. 

How do I make an appointment to drop off at CHaRM?

CHaRM Atlanta (Hill Street) is open by appointment only every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-2pm and Saturday from 9am-2pm. 
CHaRM DeKalb (Columbia Drive) is open by appointment only every Wednesday and Friday from 9am-2pm. Click here to make an appointment. 

What items are accepted at CHaRM?

What materials have a cost at CHaRM?

For information about material prices, go to the “items we accept” page and prices are listed with each material.

How do I make an appointment to drop off a specific item?

You do not need to specify what you are dropping off. As long as CHaRM accepts the materials, all you need to do is make an appointment as a resident or business and then show up during your designated time. What happens to my items once I drop them off?

Ninety-six percent of all items brought to CHaRM will be recycled, re-purposed or re-engineered. A few items, such as fertilizer and expired medicines, are incinerated in a controlled environment. Items brought to us for reuse will be distributed to local nonprofits working with children, veterans or other groups in need. For a detailed list on what happens to your waste, click here. 

Do I need an appointment to drop my items off at CHaRM?

Should I make a resident appointment or a business appointment?

CHaRM considers any quantity of materials beyond just a single household to be a business. If you are a representative of or own a business, or you are collecting for your neighborhood, a community group, or your church for example, you must register as a business and pay the business fees. How do I cancel my appointment?

You can cancel your appointment through your confirmation email you received when you made your appointment.

What is a CHaRM VIP?

Do I need to sort plastics?

Yes, our plastics are sorted by number and material type.

Booking/Canceling Appointments

Having trouble logging into your account? Use these troubleshooting steps:

  • Make sure you have created an account in our new booking platform (effective January 2024). You will be prompted to log in to your account or create an account when booking your appointment.
  • If you have a new account and click “remind password” to reset your password. You will receive an email from “Live Thrive” with “Simply Book” in the body of the email. If it is not in your inbox, check your junk folder.
  • If after these steps, you are still having issues send an email to questions@livethrive.org and we will assist you in booking your appointment.

I’m not receiving appointment confirmation emails. Where can I get the QR code/ticket?

You can log in to your account and it will show your upcoming reservations. Click “ticket” to download your QR code.

Can I bring my students to CHaRM?

Live Thrive offers a wide variety of educational programs for the general public, schools, civic and corporate groups. There are several classes and sessions that Live Thrive currently offers.
